I don’t know if you are shy already. If you ever read my profile, you would know that classiness and sophistication is paramount with me.. Being classy is always holding your head up. I practice on my diction also. It is important to speak in a way that others easily understand. Also being classy is being sophisticated in the style of dress. Conservative but sharp. Hair styles should be kept up. The most important thing is, even in jeans, remember that you are a woman and the way you walk and talk demonstrates that.

As a child, I remember all the ladies, on Sunday afternoons, putting on aprons. I thought nothing of this as they would come home from church, slip into an apron and start dinner.

Now, as an adult, I do not own an apron! lol Do you recall the usage of aprons being common?

Not only do I recall aprons being common ,they are common. (for me).
I just don’t feel dressed for housework without an apron on.
Sylvia, I know what you mean. A large pocket on my apron holds all sorts of things when I clean. As for baking, it is one of my favourite pastimes. Yes, I wear an apron for baking, it is a full apron that covers from neck to below my knees. I need something that covers all of my dress ,as I start kneading and mixing I tend to get a bit over zealous. I am in a group of 5 families that take turn providing lunch after church. The hostess provides the main meal and other ladies bring a plate. Because we do not change dresses for lunch most wear an apron while in the kitchen and serving.

I got some good price quotes on this camera and am considering getting my wife a Leica she has 2 Nikons,Cannon, Minolta, as well as a slew of vintage cameras. All of them are 35m except for a Nikon S9 pocket camera for on the go with my kids. She always says that the Leica’s are Lengendary and well I want to get her a SLR style. She is a professional photographer and worked with film most of her life and is now getting into digital. Some say that it’s the same camera as the Panasonic DMC-FZ50 but I think the Leica will hold it’s value more then the Panasonic. Any comments.

IMO your best choice is still the M8 - it is a continuation of the M series that began in 1954. Classic.

Leica really hasn’t been Leica since the mid 1970’s when it bought cameras from Minolta. The Minolta XE-7 was modified by Minolta with a Leica lens mount and metering system and sold as the Leica R-3. Later, the Minolta XD-11 underwent the same transformation and became the Leica R-4 & R-5.

Military Dining out= Guests, casual. Dining In= Formal dress, military only…But, is that restricted to your squadron or any military?

Dining Outs are exactly as formal as Dining Ins. the only difference is that civilians are invited to attend. All the same protocols apply(grog bowl, Vice, etc). In most cases, any servicemember is required to pay any fines and drink from the grog bowl in place of their female guest out of respect for the lady.

I have attended 2 Dining Outs and they were great fun.

what is the reason for this? are 8mm tapes extremely sensitive or something? i REALLY need these tapes. is it my old camcorder getting too hot from rewinding the tape for 15 mins? HELP THANKS

when you load a magnetic tape, it comes out of the cassette and winds itself around the video heads and sound head.
the tape has a break in the cassette which is released when the tape is loaded. the tape may be loose in the cassette and has formed a small loop inside the player. also, as the video head is tilted at an angle from the cassette, the tape needs to run in the centre of the head to obtain a good picture. eject the tape and manually tighten the tape by turning the cogs under the cassette.
replace the cassette and see if the picture has improved.
have you played an old or borrowed cassette? you can transfer dirt from a bad tape onto your heads and this will distort the picture.
as you use the player the picture should improve as the tape buffs the heads clean.

I’m a new waitress, and I have difficulty handling tables of 5 or more. What are some tips on handling large tables?

Focus on your table for five whole minutes at a time. The biggest problem waitresses run into with big tables is that they spend so much time trying to make them happy that they ignore their other tables, ruining their tips altogether.

Every other five minutes, check on your larger table. Refill drinks, bus dirty dishes, bring condiments, etc. Then leave the table alone completely for five minutes. Tend to your other tables, and then return when you’re done. It sounds complicated, especially if you’re super busy, but it works. Also, learn how to multi-task. You can save alot of time when you learn how to manage your time efficiently.
